CREATIVE Photography of My Favorite Figs

Hey friends! I love looking at Star Wars toy photography on Pinterest and it really made me want to create my own. I do not have a whole lot of equipment, or special effects gear like mini explosion thing-ys (wow, I’m so professional), but I try anyway. After my Rex Photoshoot, I was pleased with how I was able to photograph action figures with just my super helpful sister and some free editing software (PhotoScape X)… oh and a camera. 😉 Recently we have been buying a few Star Wars Black Series figs, and I really wanted to have some fun photographing them. Today I’m going to share them with…

    It’s “Captain,” Sir. Photoshoot

Hello There! Today I am excited to share a photoshoot that I am immensely proud of. The photos came out really excellent. This photoshoot features one of my favorite Black Series figs and Star Wars characters, Captain Rex.  Shoutout to my sis for helping me achieve some of the effects! My sister and I looked for interesting areas to photograph Rex in. We found this cool mossy ground area to snap a pic. The morning sun kept moving, but I was able to use it well, thankfully. The best helmet maybe in the entire galaxy. Captain Rex carries 2 DC-17 pistols and marks his own droid kills on his armor.…

Jewel’s Guide to Making a Photo Story

Hello, doll lovers! I haven’t really been able to go outside lately because my allergies are really bad, but today I thought it would be fun to show you the elements I use when making a doll photo story! I’ve actually learned more about the “why” of my methods through learning about story lately, and I can now dissect my photo stories more properly. Hopefully, this can help you make some of your own photo stories. 🙂 Doll:   First, I usually start by figuring out which doll I want to use. I strongly encourage exploring the personalities of all your dolls, and a great way to do that is through a…

5 Things that are actually NOT for the Garbage but Dolls!

Hello, my friends! How are you? Today Grace and Saige will be sharing five things you should not be tossing in the garbage, but instead, give them to your dolls! I hope you enjoy the post! Here are Grace and Saige: Saige: Hey DN viewers! I am Saige Copeland and you are watching, “5 Things that are actually NOT for the Garbage but Dolls!” I am hosting with my close friend, Grace Thomas. Grace: Honestly, I am just here because I need to do something else for fun in my life besides making food. Saige: … Grace: Don’t Judge. Saige: Ok… Grace, can you just get the first item? Grace:…

    Best Bros (Photoshoot)

Hi, my friends! I hope your day is fantastic. Thank you to all who took my survey! It seems most of you wanted to see more Barbie posts so I am going to try and work on a Barbie photo story (something I’ve never done). I have not been keeping up with the Meet the Barbies Page so today I added the entire Brooks family to make up for the lost time. Check it out if you want! In today’s post, I have a photoshoot of Michael and Zingo (both my dolls). I hope you like it! Michael Michaels (yes, that is his name) and Zingo Thomas are both from…

    The Presumed Princess, A Photostory

‘Ello Mates. Jewel here! Can you BELIEVE it is almost Christmas?! It is so exciting! Next week, I plan to post a Christmas photostory, but I’m still having trouble uploading photos, so today I’ll be sharing the photo story I had made for Natalie and Emmie’s Fall Photostory Competition. The contest was sadly canceled with me being the only person that sent in a story that didn’t have to be disqualified, but they plan to possibly do it again maybe in the summer, so please consider entering it next year if you are interested! Anyway, this was my short audition story, using the prompts of “Rose” and “Princess”: Dear Diary, I’ve had an…

Part 4, The Treasure of Lady Travier

Hey doll enthusiasts! Today is part 4 of the Treasure of Lady Travier. I’m not going to tell you which choice won the vote. You’ll have to see, but I will tell you that #1 had 0 votes! LOL,  It was probably way too cliche. XD Well anyway, here it is! I slung the bag over my shoulder and laughed. “Ah! This is perfect.” Julia raised an eyebrow. “How incredibly perfect,” I mused. “What’s so perfect?” She asked. “Ah, Miss Burdett, you do not know this girl like I do. For instance, did you know she has left me for dead multiple times?” “Dex?” Opal begged. “Oh, be quiet, Opal,” I told her. I…

Part 3, The Treasure of Lady Travier

Hey you! I am posting this on a Wednesday because I was honestly too tired yesterday to post, but don’t worry, you still have 3 days to comment! Last part, option #1 won, so Dexter is going to meet Opal at the Tea shop! I hope you’ll enjoy this next part! <3 I decided, if Opal could give me any more information it would be in my best interest, so I decided to meet her at the Paris Tea Shop that night. When I stepped in, there she was waiting. I sat down. “There you are.” She smiled. “I see you bought me a cup of tea…” I sighed. “I’m nice…

Doll Life: Roommates Tenney and Rebecca

Hey YOU AND YOU AND YOU! I’m back from my short break (I’ve already started posting on my personal blog with a post about my cat as the cat from the Lego Ninjago movie). I bring to you my third Doll Life post in which I explain certain aspects of how my AG dolls live. Today: it stars Rebecca and Tenney who share a room in my dollhouse. Let’s discuss how that works out for them… Tenney and Rebecca tend to be opinionated people. You might think that they wouldn’t get along together because of this, but because they tend to mutually share a lot of opinions it works out…

    The AG Josefina Face-mold Comparison

Bring out the trumpets because it’s finally here… The AG Josefina Face-mold Comparison! Today we will be doing exactly as the title says: comparing the face-molds of all my dolls that have the named Josefina face-mold from American Girl! I also decided (with my sister’s permission) to use Julie as well, my sister’s only doll with the Josefina face-mold. Ok, let me start off by saying that I love the Josefina face-mold so much because I think it looks like one of the most realistic ones AG has. The chin is just pointy enough, and it doesn’t look overly chubby. XD Now for some comparison: Out of all these 5 dolls, Grace and…
