THE NEW DOLLS!

Hi everyone! I know this post is late, and that is because my hosters were giving me trouble with my site. First, it said my account was suspended (you might have seen), then my most recent content was missing. Finally, they fixed it, and I’m so thankful!

SOOOOOOOOO… Now I’m going to tell you a little story:

Once there were two girls that wanted to earn a little money. Their dad offered a job of raking leaves. They worked for MANY hours together… and finally had enough money so that each of them buy an American Girl Doll… so… that’s what they did. THAT WAS THE WORST STORY EVER!

Ok, so you get it. My dad was generous enough to pay us 5 dollars a pile! That means filling up the front bucket of our John Deer tractor. We each got 2.50 for each pile. That adds up quickly! When my sis and I found out that we could buy an AG doll in 1 day… nothing could stop us! XD

ALRIGHT ALREADY! LET’S JUST GET INTO THIS!

TRULY ME #64!!!!!!! She is so cute and is our first Asian doll!

Her full name is Chen Li Song. (Translated that means: The Morning Plums Pine Tree! XDXDXD But, we thought it sounded good so… that’s her name.)

I LOVE the new Truly Me outfit! It is so much better than the lilac dress Raven came in. It even has a jacket with a REAL zipper! I would say: 5 stars… except…

… the shoes. They are a rubbery plastic with glitter.  Definitely not the best shoes AG has made, but they’re fine. My sis and I don’t mind them. They just aren’t the quality we would want to see from American Girl. Fabric would have been nicer, and the glitter… that’s just a cover-up for the otherwise plain white rubber shoe.

Here is a look at the Asian eyes! Aren’t they SO COOL?!

Her hair is shorter than we thought it would be (after seeing the pictures online), but we both like it better that way (after seeing it in person).

Chen also has permapanties. Since we didn’t buy these dolls at the store, we didn’t get the chance to check. I knew when I saw she came in the new type of box, that she would probably have them. My sis doesn’t mind as much as me though, and she doesn’t want Chen to go away for so long to the doll hospital, to get real underwear. So Chen is staying the way she is, and who knows… maybe the permapanty dolls will be worth something someday! Check out Chen’s profile pic on the Meet The AG Dolls Page!

READY TO SEE WHO I GOT?!?!?!

Yup, I got Tenney Grant, and here’s why: My sis wants Logan for Christmas so I thought that the duo should be together. I really like her collection and the doll herself. The new hand molds are interesting to have. She is really photogenic, and I didn’t mind Raven’s “not very hard” head as much as I thought I would, which is what Tenney has. (In other words, the face gives a little when you push on the sides of the head, near the eyes).

She came with a loose ponytail and a pin curl on one side. She doesn’t have the permapanties, which I believe they never implemented on her. Personally, I think her outfit is really cute, and that jean vest will be very useful for a lot of mix and matching!

The jean vest actually buttons!

The shirt is probably my least favorite thing out of the outfit, but it is still really cute. The tie in the front lays a little odd for me.

THE SHOES ARE SO ADORABLE! The heels on them might be higher than I am used to for my dolls.

It is so cool that she came with a bracelet! It has 3 charms.

It closes in the back the same way Grace’s does.

Here^ you can see the 2 new hand molds. I like that she can hold a guitar or banjo! Her right hand can hold small things more easily than the original hand mold. Her left hand might look similar to the original, but it is actually wider. Thus, the neck of whichever instrument she might be holding, rests peacefully up there.

Here she is without the vest on^. Next, I took her hair down.

AWW! She is such a cute doll and I’m so happy to have her!

The pin curl is on her right side.

I also love her unique freckle pattern, with one just below her nose, above her upper lip. Her lips are slightly darker than a lot of other AG dolls. I’m guessing it for the appearance of makeup. It’s cute, but I am hoping AG will still keep their dolls childlike in the future, and not go too far in trying to appeal to an older audience.

WAIT!!!!!! IS THAT^^^^^^^^^^^ THE STAGE! GASP! Wow, that was way too dramatic… even for me. Yes, my sister and I also bought Tenny’s Stage and Dressing Room set for Black Friday, with more raking leaves money. The deal also came with her performance outfit, Logan’s extra outfit, and her banjo! Tell me if you want a review on the stage.

Her right hand can hold somethings that don’t even have a strap. LOL! That’s my sister’s hand holding up Tenney in the corner^.

AHHHH! I just love the cuteness!!!

This WAS going to be her profile pic ^… until… I got her ears pierced at the AG store in Dallas! Her new profile pic should be along soon on the Meet The AG Dolls Page, as well as her personality, etc. Tomorrow I’ll be posting a photoshoot of her and her new earings!

(The back wall of the stage is perfect for this post.) So their she is! Please welcome, Tennyson Evangeline Grant to the Doll Notebook Family! I also want to say that I’m asking for Rebecca this Christmas, and as I told you before my sis is asking for Logan. YAY! I am so glad I earned, instead of receiving one from someone else. It seems, (to me at least) it has been awhile since I’ve done that. How do you like our new dolls?
